Jeong is a Korean American adoptee, artist, and activist based in Los Angeles. Born in Seoul and trafficked to a white American family under the guise of a lawful adoption, her work explores questions of identity, belonging, and cultural reclamation. She is a fierce advocate for women of color and the LGBTQ+ community, passionate about equity and reimaging alternatives to the status quo. As an activist, she has served on the Wilshire Center-Koreatown Neighborhood Council, on the LGBTQ+ Alliance of Neighborhood Councils, and as a delegate to the CA Democratic Convention.
Jeong holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, and she has exhibited work at the National Assembly of South Korea, Seoul Metro Art Center, McDonough Museum of Art, Culture Hub, Human Resources, and more. She has been published in Thrillist, The Pomonan, FGUK magazine, and Photo Art Korea, among others, and she has lectured on her practice at Cal State University – Los Angeles, LA Artcore, and Maru Art Center.
