Hailing from Ohlone territory also known as East Oakland, Simone is a Mexican and Filipina creator, sister, student, and vessel. Her heart’s calling has always been to live and serve by, with, and for the community. Alongside her work with the Young Women’s Freedom Center, she is a training birthworker and the founder of Color Herstory which creates coloring books that are solely based on influential Black, Brown, and Indigenous Women of Color to create liberation through art and education. She believes that collective healing and justice go hand in hand by the way of listening, dreaming, and organizing with young trans and gender non-conforming, and cis women. The love for the land, her ancestors, and siblinghood continue to inspire her in the journey of unified liberation.
