Taylor is 17 years old and has been with the Young Women’s Freedom Center since she was 13. She is currently a Siblings on the Rise Intern at the YWFC in Santa Clara County. Taylor found out about the Center when she was locked up and fell in love with the program. It helped change her life.
YWFC is one of the only organizations that kept in touch with her when she got out.
When Taylor felt like doing bad because she didn’t have anything, the YWFC was there to support her through it. This work gave her the opportunity to work on her self-determined goals and personal healing. Now in her role at the Center, she wants to support other young people to do the same.
