Peaches

She/Hers

Peaches is a Transgender young woman who grew up on the South Side of San Jose. She’s overcome many struggles, such as having incarcerated parents who grew up on the streets. While navigating her young adulthood as a system impacted person, Peaches learned to be very appreciative and loving to the people around her.

Growing up, being comfortable with who she was, wasn’t easy for her. As a youth organizer at the Young Women’s Freedom Center, Peaches is true to her authentic self and embraces the opportunity to help other young women and trans youth see that being system impacted doesn’t define who they are. We determine our own futures.
