Kayla is 23 years old and grew up in Sacramento, California. She came to San Francisco with nothing, just herself and a vision to get out of the lifestyle. It was time for her to change her ways for the better and get her two beautiful daughters back from CPS. She was formerly a foster youth herself, an alcoholic, and in the lifestyle. Since Kayla came to YWFC and got the support she needed, she got her daughters back in her own custody, has remained employed, sober, got housing, and became a better individual than what she was yesterday. Kayla is here now to give back and share her story in hopes to support others. She hopes to be there to hear others’ stories as well. Kayla uses her breath for those who can’t breathe. She uses her voice for those who are silenced!
