They believe youth leadership is when a youth is able to lead the young generation into empowerment, have a voice in spaces where they don’t normally, and are comfortable enough to authentically express themselves.
As a leader of the youth community, JuJu feels their job is to be a role model and lead by example. They will help the next generation of youth prepare for excelling in various areas of their lives, teaching them that “I can’t” is not an option when anything they put their minds to and work towards can be achievable. Juju seeks to build a safe space for youth to develop a sense of leadership within themselves, to help them build trust in themselves, and help build communication across different generations.
JuJu is a leader and a hero in the community who can bring about change into the world and build a community of unity.
JuJu believes, “A leader goes out of their way to get things done. A leader is passionate about the way they present themselves, and a leader starts in the youth community. A leader is dedicated, communicates well, is mature, insightful, observant, a partner to the community, mindful, respectful, and a good listener. I am a leader”.
