Camila is a 22-year-old South Central LA Native. While incarcerated, she realized the harm she was causing herself and the people around her, and decided to make a change – hoping it would positively impact her community as well. During the difficult experience of being a young person in detention, she leaned into the support of her counselors and teachers, and used that as a compass to go in a different direction.
She is proud to be free, working on her business, and using her voice to advocate for young people to receive support instead of being locked up. She believes that the sky is the limit!
