With over 13 years of experience, Sarah Burguard excels in developing efficient business operations, financial infrastructure, and systems to facilitate growth and maximize impact. As a nonprofit executive with an entrepreneurial mindset, Sarah has successfully scaled small nonprofit organizations, overseeing strategic planning, organizational development, financial management, and system integration. Before relocating to the Bay Area, Sarah managed incubation programs for social entrepreneurs internationally at Groupe SOS, Europe’s largest social enterprise. She started her career in venture capital and in banking: she worked as an investment officer for an impact investing firm in Europe and worked at BNP Paribas group in France and India.
Sarah’s program growth spans diverse sectors, including impact investing, social entrepreneurship, inclusive entrepreneurship, workforce development, and the LGBTQ+ space. She strongly believes economic empowerment is a prerequisite to creating a more equitable and sustainable world.
As Chief Financial Officer at Freedom Center and ReImagine Freedom, Sarah is responsible for all financial matters of the organization and its affiliate organizations. She also ensures that the work we do can grow sustainably.
