Dominique is a passionate and dedicated advocate for social justice and community empowerment in Los Angeles. As a formerly incarcerated peer advocate, Dominique has spent the last five years organizing local justice policies, conducting outreach, and facilitating groups across Los Angeles County. Her work with numerous grassroots organizations has focused on empowering community members, service partners, and informing national policy on critical issues such as trauma-informed care, homelessness, and harm reduction.
Professionally, Dominique has spent several years in case management, assisting clients with high needs, particularly those experiencing crisis, incarceration, and trauma. Her commitment to social change and addressing gaps in social services led her to earn a Peer Support Certification through CalMHSA. She has completed various internships and opportunities focused on social change and is furthering her education at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) as an Addiction Studies Specialist.
Dominique’s journey with our organization began as a Self-Determination Coordinator, quickly advancing to Lead and then Senior Program Manager. Now, as the Site Director for her hometown of Los Angeles, CA, Dominique continues to drive positive change and support for her community.
