Daisha was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She is a survivor of gun and domestic violence, has been mistreated and used by the justice system, and experienced homelessness. After seeking therapy, she started working on self-love, building boundaries and her personal healing and goals. Daisha went back and got her high school diploma, her own apartment and car, and started attending CCSF, studying psychology and sociology. She has since received her certificate to become a Community Health Worker and worked and volunteered at different organizations in advocacy roles. With her community organizing, leadership development, and advocacy skills, she learned from the YWFC, Daisha feels unstoppable! She now makes her own narrative and strives to learn everyday and pay it forward.
