Angelique was born in San Jose. Because of her experience with the foster care and legal systems, she is passionate about working with system impacted young people. She draws from these personal experiences in her work to dismantle the systems that oppress many people of color and those with diverse identities. She is committed to bringing change in how the system treats people. She is inspired by the quote, “Be who you needed when you were younger,” and believes that there is always room for change and growth for anyone no matter their circumstances.
She is a mother and enjoys spending time with her son and reading.
