Al was born and raised in Modesto, California, and came to SF in 2016 to invest in her higher education at San Francisco State University. It was in SF that she had the opportunity and space to explore her sexuality and gender identity, and truly invest in gender-based violence prevention work. She holds a BA in Sociology with a Minor in Special Education and strives each day to center the self-determination of young women and trans youth of all genders in the Bay Area.
