Adreaonna Jansen was born and raised in San Jose, California. She brings her wisdom and expertise as both a single and former adolescent mother, striving to make a better living for her two children. During college, she developed a passion for working with young folks in the community that was largely confronted with the challenges she was faced with during her adolescence. Having experienced the discrimination and challenges of being a young mother and the weight of emotional traumas, she is ready to expand her knowledge and start her healing journey with the Young Women’s Freedom Center. She is committed to leading a better lifestyle for the next generation, working alongside resilient and self-determined folks. This opportunity has both inspired and empowered her to be the woman she is determined to be.
