A New York City native, during high school Ade worked with court-involved youth in expanding their understanding of health and wellness, and developing their academic skills. She made a documentary about mass incarceration, learning from people most impacted in New York. Ade then interned at the Young Women’s Freedom Center, updating the Know Justice handbook to improve an accessible guide for youth navigating the system. Now, as Program Coordinator in Los Angeles, she works with youth on leadership and critical thinking skills, and believes in the importance of empowering interns to lead with their perspectives and pursue their passions.
