Over the last three decades, we have made a lasting impact in the lives of over 40,000 young women and trans youth across California. We have built leaders across industries who continue to make a positive change in their communities. Beneficiaries of our programs have gone on to lead movement organizations, foundations, educational institutions, and thriving businesses and political careers. Our work has been instrumental in efforts to end the incarceration of girls in Santa Clara, Alameda, Los Angeles, and San Francisco Counties.

We have made great strides, but we know in order to reach our Freedom 2030 goal to end the incarceration of young women and trans youth of all genders in California by 2030, we need real alternatives. That is why we are excited to expand our work through the creation of safe and dignified housing, economic opportunities, meaningful jobs, holistic and sustainable re-entry support, and the overhaul of policies that restrict our self-determination.
